my dog
this dog was my 18th birthday present. i named her selah. i love the way she sits up straight in the sun and stares out over the hills for hours, calmly watching. she seems to think about things, important things--so i pretend it's true. she takes walks with me and acts like she is going to protect me from bears and snakes and other wild things, but i think her sense of smell and hearing is lacking. she's good company though. we stop and stare at things together.
