pieces of our christmas...
grandpa cooking
grandma (also known as jimmy jams)
keith and his annoying light
james and the mother
grant david
charles in box that soon busted
we draw names out of a hat, and this year my grandfather had me. he got me a camera which i refused to put down for more than 2 seconds.
much of the day was spent lying around on couches together
and making faces for pictures
marley's favorite present was a ring which she is still admiring
the kids watching princess diaries 2 out on the sunporch
notice mar's ring
carson spent the day painting and writing and drawing
she also put on a fabulous puppet show
uncle bill and aunt susan
jamie taking an afternoon nap
aunt susan was less than fond of all my picture taking. she's just not used to having a camera pointed at her every other minute.
in bailey's words, this was a bit of "lovey love"
we sang happy birthday to Jesus
marley tried to win over a shy dog
bay's feet
the boys after dinner
uncle bill told carson he'd give her five dollar's if she pulled her loose tooth. so she worked on it like mad. it came out and she's now a very rich girl.
bailey's favorite present by far were the curlers she got in her stocking
uncle bill and his rad tattoo
hanging out by the fire
Since there were no comments here, I decided to post. Great to see you and your family again...it's been a very long time. Of course, in person is always better. Enjoyed your site and especially your sharing. I think mani is a great name. I know God is molding you in Him by what you have said and I encourage you to keep Him first! Alan and I pray God's continued blessings on you. Carolyn
Posted by: Carolyn Pippenger at December 27, 2004 08:38 PMi love your christmas pictures. what kind of camera did you get?
kelly, your pictures are always so fun and perfect. your new camera looks a bit like the one i use, the last christmas present my papa bought for my gramma. she hardly uses it, so i borrowed it for awhile...
bay's curler picture looks like me as a kid, but mine were hot pink. : )
Posted by: steph at December 28, 2004 10:28 AM* i got back to st. louis today. i got something in the mail. i love it. i love it. i love it. thankyouthankyouthankyou. it's perfect.
Posted by: jane. at January 2, 2005 08:18 PM"Lovey love"...I LOVE that!
Posted by: Deb at January 3, 2005 11:50 AMWhat an amazing group of pictures!!! You have depicted a dream I've had, but not realized... to have a "family" so close (all those faces so close together... bodies lying all over the place).
I'm surpried and touched. Thanks!
Posted by: wilsonian at January 3, 2005 09:21 PMcarolyn. thanks for the comment. i appreciate your words and prayers.
amy. thanks. it's a canon digital something something. i'm having fun playing with it. i'd probably learn how to use it faster if i read the manual, but i haven't yet...
steph. i had hot pink ones too. they are a royal pain to sleep in.
jane. i'm very glad. i have a deeper appreciation for rothko...even trying on a very small scale to paint somewhat in his style. i usually want to fill space with lots of chaos. i should try the opposite more often.
deb. me too. (most of the time)
wilsonian. thank you. i'm glad you enjoyed them. i think even when we believe we have "family" as you describe, we are still craving it...at least that's true for me.
