if i was the music

(off the top of my head, so these may not be my most real answers)

if i was a band's name, i would be a red house painter

if i was the music, i would be pinback's

if i was a soundtrack, i'd choose run lola run

if i was an album cover, i would be gillian welch's soul journey

if i was to have a song sung to me, it would be the postal service's brand new colony, specifically the words: "i'll be the phonograph that plays your favorite
albums back as your lying there drifting off to sleep..."

if i was to sing words one day to someone when i could mean them, i'd borrow from the be good tanyas: "i'm always drawing your colors..."

if i was the words before the song, i would take them from dj shadow:
"and here's a story about being free"

if i was the heart of a musician, i would hope to be david bazan's

i'm such a geek, i don't know who alot of those musicians/songs are - but i like the way it all sounds - and if the heart of the music is anything like the heart of you, it must be lovely.

If i could be a song i would be blower's daughter by damien rice, its so passionate and raw and honest

if i could be a moment i would be one that is on a cliff overlooking landscape that looks like squiggles and blurred squares when you forget time and the world and the bustle

if i could be a vegetable i would be broccoli, it would be tough being hated by children, but id have more good stuff in in than you can even imagine

if i were a soundtrack id want to be the one to 'in good company' trust me on this one

if i were a man id want to be joseph, the old testament one-what an horrid and beautiful experience

if i were candy id be bubble gum

that'll do for now. i want to think of more. you should think of more so i can do some more too. some of these arent really me, they're just what i would want.

steve. mixes are my favorite. please do.

erin. i love you so much for playing my game. thanks. i would like to be your moment with you on the cliff, but i can't say i care for you broccoli choice.

cheryl. thank you.

amy. thanks, friend. i am a huge geek also. i know nothing about artists or writers, and i really don't know anything about musicians either. i just borrow what i like from friend's taste...but i really get stuck on music(or it gets stuck in me).

steph. thanks. i want to know what music you would be. i think i can guess a few things already.

Love this Kelly.

Been listening to Postal Service a lot, I think I'd like to someday sing the words "come down now, they'll say / but everything looks perfect from far away / come down now."

daniel. thanks. those are good words to sing.
