(3 weeks)

today marks my 37th week of pregnancy-- 3 weeks left until calliope is due. i am pretty uncomfortable at times, but in general i feel great, which doesn't make it seem like we are going to have a baby any time soon.

random pictures from around the house:

life is simple and sweet these days. we are feeling more and more settled into our little home, and into married life in general.

this past weekend micah's family threw us a lovely baby shower in knoxville. through gifts and borrowing from family, we are very close to having all our baby needs met. it is good to be surrounded by such wonderful friends and family.

i have some things i still want to accomplish before calliope around the house, and two of those are drawings. once they are done, i suppose i'm ready to go.

micah as a little boy

if calliope manages to a get a few of her father's attributes, especially his wavy hair, she'll have quite a magical little look.

just doing some insomniac blog-surfing and thought i'd check in with you because you crossed my mind...

blessings to you during your final days of confinement. just remember during labor to breathe...nice, slow, steady -- in through your nose, out through your mouth, cleansing breaths at beginning and end of contractions. lots of oxygen to the baby, but slowly so you don't hyperventilate :) (it's the best advice i can give my patience when they are laboring and it seems to help!)

peace to you,
penni
